Job summary

Genesis Products is seeking a Product Engineer to design and develop high-quality products by creating detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings. You will coordinate prototype and production sample builds to verify design accuracy and functionality, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

The role requires expertise in AutoCAD 2D, Inventor or SolidWorks, and Alphacam, with strong project management skills to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings/production orders.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in product engineering.
• Fluency in AutoCAD 2D, Inventor or SolidWorks, and Alphacam.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new and current products.
• Create 2D & 3D CAD designs and detailed drawings.
• Create CNC tool-path programs and operate CNC routers.
• Coordinate prototype and production sample builds as needed.
• Provide manufacturing support to ensure designs function as intended.
• Assist with product quotes, vendor coordination, and engineering drawings for production changes.
• Evaluate proposed engineering changes for impact and feasibility.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and processes.
• Collaborate with others to determine customer needs and solutions.
• Inspect parts for compliance after program execution.
