Job summary

Selectek is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join a growing team in Georgia. The role involves learning drafting and production processes while performing 3D CAD design, creating 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs for existing and new products.

You will provide technical support to manufacturing and field installation, revise drawings, and assist with testing under supervision, learning ANSI standards. A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.

Qualifications

  • SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience required.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, draft and model using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for existing and new products.
  • Create 3D models, 2D drawings, specifications and Bill of Materials.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity on a growing team for a Product Design Engineer. In this role the engineer will learn and apply Drafting and Production processes while working under the supervision of an experienced engineer. The work will include standard computations, analysis, and 3D CAD design work.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Work on projects assigned or directed by more experienced Engineers.
  • Design, draft and model using AutoCAD and Solidworks for existing and new products.
  • Create 3D models, 2D drawings, Specifications and Bill of Materials.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and field installation.
  • Develop engineering skills based on engineering procedure 230.50 Engineering Training.
  • Create samples of working models for demonstration.
  • Improve usability of new and existing products.
  • Revises processes, documents and drawings through Value Improvement (VIP) Systems.
  • Begin to perform tests in the engineering lab under supervision, learn ANSI Standards and how they relate to testing.
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering Solidworks and AutoCAD experience Hands on Mechanical Aptitude
Preferred:
  • FEA computer analysis
