Job summary

Sonder is seeking a product engineer in New York to turn model capabilities into thoughtfully designed software. You will own features end to end, shape interactions with design, and build reliable systems that stay fast.

You’ll work closely with founders, designers, and researchers from exploration through release, balancing UX and engineering discipline. Based in New York, you will collaborate across teams to ship consumer-grade experiences that leverage AI capabilities, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Shipping thoughtful software with strong ownership.
• Strong TypeScript skills and experience in interactive interfaces.
• Fundamentals in async programming, data modeling, persistence, and debugging.
• Product judgment and collaboration with researchers and designers.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end from exploration to release.
• Shape the interaction with design on flows and feedback.
• Build dependable systems with sound state, concurrency, and persistence decisions.
• Keep the experience fast by profiling and removing bottlenecks.
• Bring research into the product by integrating new capabilities.
• Care for onboarding, accessibility, and error states in production.
