Zed is building the first AI-native, licensed neobank in the Philippines designed to democratize access to premium financial services for young professionals in global markets. As a Product Engineer, you'll implement core backend features, ship from idea to production, and own projects end-to-end.

We work in person at our San Francisco office, collaborating with founders, product, and design to translate vision into reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in product-focused environments.
• Strong backend depth in a typed/functional language (Rust, Go, Scala, Haskell, OCaml, TypeScript).
• Experience shipping core product features with ownership.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and early-stage environments.

Responsabilités

• Design and ship backend systems that power Zed's banking and financial automation products.
• Own features end-to-end—from architecture to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, design, operations, and leadership.
• Contribute to Rust-based backend; prior Rust is a plus, not required.
• Help shape engineering standards and architecture as we scale.
