Descript is hiring for a Product Engineer who will own meaningful surfaces from concept to maintenance, collaborating with product, design, and engineering to deliver measurable user outcomes. You’ll design robust, full-stack systems and improve analytics-driven development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping customer-facing products with end-to-end features.
• Experience leveraging AI to multiply impact in product work.
• Proven ability to own features/experiments end to end, with data-driven impact.
• Ability to learn quickly in unfamiliar systems through thoughtful questions.

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful product surfaces end to end from definition to maintenance.
• Shape the product by partnering with Product and Design to constrain solutions and measure outcomes.
• Build ambitious full-stack systems from TypeScript/React to Node.js and integrations.
• Improve how the team learns and ships through instrumentation, testing, and release practices.
• Provide architectural direction and mentoring to raise the team's technical ambition.
