Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 12+ years of experience; or a PhD with 5+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Additive Manufacturing of ferrous and Nickel-based alloys
  • Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.
  • Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in leading Cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality.
  • Lead product development projects from prototyping through deployment and initial field support.
  • Independently design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide product specifications and development.
  • Provide technical support for installation, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.
  • Maintain high customer engagement including travel to customer sites for near-term releases and issues.
  • Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.

In this role, you will directly contribute to R&D and product realization in the Metal & Ceramic Additive Manufacturing space.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality in a dynamic fast-paced challenging environment.
  • Lead product development projects from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial field support.
  • Independently design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 12+ years of experience; or a PhD with 5+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Additive Manufacturing of ferrous and Nickel-based alloys

  • Experience in leading Cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.
  • Manufacturing Engineering and 3D modeling of Additive Manufactured parts
  • Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Publishing of manufacturing documentation and specification development
  • Working to ASME/AMS/AS/SEMI/MIL standards
  • Six-sigma green or black belt
