Job summary

Product Engineer

Location: Tualatin, OR
Employment Type: Contract
Industry: Semiconductor
Compensation: $84.93/hour
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days per week & remote 2 days)

About the Opportunity

Join a highly specialized engineering team focused on RF power systems supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will drive product engineering initiatives, solve complex technical challenges, and collaborate with global suppliers to ensure high-performance, reliable systems across the product lifecycle.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead product engineering initiatives across RF power systems throughout the product lifecycle
  • Solve complex system‑ and component‑level issues in semiconductor equipment
  • Collaborate with global suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, quality systems, and corrective actions
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) with a focus on reliability and performance
  • Analyze root cause issues and drive corrective actions using structured problem‑solving methodologies
  • Oversee supplier quality, testing, and manufacturing process improvements
Job Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering or RF power systems
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in high‑power RF environments (1‑60 MHz)
  • 5+ years of experience in system‑level problem‑solving, product qualification, and change management
  • 3+ years of experience using electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
What Sets You Apart
  • Experience with PCB assembly, inspection, and testing
  • Familiarity with quality and statistical tools (SPC, DOE, GRR, 8D, root cause analysis)
  • Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, OSHA, IPC, UL, IEEE, MIL)
  • Strong understanding of transmission line theory, impedance matching, and RF calibration techniques
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and deliver complex engineering solutions
