Job summary

Top Workforce Solutions, LLC in Simsbury, CT, is seeking a Principal Product Engineer to lead the development of low-noise Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillators (VCSOs) and support SAW product lines. The role focuses on RF/DC circuit design, PCB and EM analysis, prototype testing, and sustaining engineering.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in RF/Microwave circuits, strong PCB design skills, and experience with ADS/HFSS/Altium/ANSYS, plus ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 5+ years RF/Microwave circuit experience (2 GHz+).
• Strong RF/Microwave PCB design experience.
• Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and RF test equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and failure-analysis skills.
• Experience with ADS, HFSS, Altium and/or ANSYS.
• Experience with low-phase-noise oscillator/VCSO design.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret-level security clearance.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Engineer to develop low-noise Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillator (VCSO) products and support existing Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) product lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development from concept through production release.
• Perform RF/DC circuit design, simulation, PCB design, and EM analysis.
• Develop and test prototypes and support sustaining engineering.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve product performance and production yield.
• Prepare technical documentation, schematics, BOMs, design reviews, and test procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 5+ years of RF/Microwave circuit experience, including frequencies of 2 GHz or higher.
• Strong RF/Microwave PCB design experience.
• Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and related RF test equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and failure-analysis skills.
• Experience with ADS, HFSS, Altium, and/or ANSYS preferred.
• Experience with low-phase-noise oscillator/VCSO design is highly desirable.
