Job summary
Top Workforce Solutions, LLC in Simsbury, CT, is seeking a Principal Product Engineer to lead the development of low-noise Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillators (VCSOs) and support SAW product lines. The role focuses on RF/DC circuit design, PCB and EM analysis, prototype testing, and sustaining engineering.
Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in RF/Microwave circuits, strong PCB design skills, and experience with ADS/HFSS/Altium/ANSYS, plus ability to obtain Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
- 5+ years RF/Microwave circuit experience (2 GHz+).
- Strong RF/Microwave PCB design experience.
- Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and RF test equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and failure-analysis skills.
- Experience with ADS, HFSS, Altium and/or ANSYS.
- Experience with low-phase-noise oscillator/VCSO design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret-level security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead product development from concept through production release.
- Perform RF/DC circuit design, simulation, PCB design, and EM analysis.
- Develop and test prototypes and support sustaining engineering.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve product performance and production yield.
- Prepare technical documentation, schematics, BOMs, design reviews, and test procedures.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
