Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a talented Product Engineer to join the high‑performance product team in San Jose. You will lead the technical collateral development for in‑house embedded system products and help define and implement data center and server technologies.

You will create proofs of concepts and technical feature papers to differentiate Supermicro products at online venues and industry events. You will also serve as the subject‑matter expert for product managers and system engineers on

Responsibilities

• Apply various component knowledge such as CPU, DRAM, flash-based storage, and motherboard to develop and integrate system products and solutions
• Execute benchmark testing and build proof of concepts based on latest data center technologies and Supermicro server products
• Work with product managers and system engineers to draft technical marketing presentations and white papers for online publications and industry event promotional activities
• Proactively engage in learning and researching new technologies and products to propose new Proof of Concepts
• Work with Sales, FAE, and customers to provide solutions and technical knowledge
• Excellent conflict resolution technique and capable for building consensus with business technology and management across multiple organizational structures
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and technical presentation to explain complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Travel will be required

Job Summary:

High-performance product team in Supermicro is seeking talented Product Engineer who can lead the technical collateral development of in-house embedded system products. This individual will have the opportunity to define and implement latest data center and server technologies, and to create proof of concepts and technical feature paper presentations to differentiate Supermicro product through online and at various industry events. This individual will also be the go-to person for product managers and system engineers to be the subject of matter expert in application benchmarks specifically in network, database, and virtualization.

Salary Range

$85,000 - $100,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
