You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to optimize product development, source materials, and maintain technical documentation while supporting pre-sales and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software, ideally AutoCAD.
• Experience with root cause analysis and process engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D drawings with CAD.
• Support pre-sales with basic product designs based on job specs.
• Source and price materials from suppliers using approved designs.
• Calculate estimates and required materials.
• Perform process engineering to optimize production and improve quality.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and product specs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing for smooth production and assembly.
• Internal ERP system specialist and point of contact.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Engineer to join our team in Ramsey, NJ. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the creation of 2D and 3D CAD drawings to meet our customers needs. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the creation of high-quality products and ensure our projects are first time right and on-time.

Responsibilites:

• Working closing with the Director of Engineering, create 2D and 3D drawings.
• Support the pre-sales phase of projects by creating basic product designs based on specifications of the job using CAD.
• Using approved designs, source and price materials from suppliers.
• Calculate estimates and what kind of approved materials are required for each job.
• Perform process engineering to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and product specifications.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production and assembly processes and to ensure quality.
• Reside as internal specialist and point of contact for ERP system.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD is preferred)
• Strong MS Office 365 products
• Experience with root cause analysis and process engineering.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
