Job summary

Raycap, Inc. in Kearny, NJ is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to perform research, development, design and testing of products under senior supervision. You will work in a team to translate customer requirements into robust design solutions.

The role involves creating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings (SolidWorks/Inventor preferred), supporting production, validating prototypes, and preparing operation manuals. A bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and good communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in solid modeling CAD software; Inventor a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office products.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to analyze customer requirements and develop design solutions.
• Support on-site or remote factory production.
• Create 3D designs of parts and assemblies and 2D drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks/Inventor preferred).
• Act as a drawing checker to ensure items are detailed correctly.
• Communicate with suppliers/vendors as required.
• Build and analyze prototypes.
• Conduct laboratory testing to ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Create Operation & Maintenance Manual and/or Installation Instructions.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for performing research, development, design, and testing of product. Design work is monitored and reviewed by a senior level engineer.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment to analyze requirements from the customer and develop design solutions
• Support on-site or remote factory production
• Complete 3D design of parts and assemblies, and create 2D part and assembly drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks/Inventor preferred)
