Job summary

Actalent, an engineering services firm, seeks an onsite valve engineer to join a growing team supporting engineered valve products for oil & gas and industrial applications. You will perform valve sizing, develop SolidWorks drawings, and assist with manufacturing documentation and configuration control.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, ongoing technical training, and solving complex design challenges in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, or process control environments.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Experience with valve sizing calculations and engineering documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the Oklahoma City area.

Responsibilities

This role combines product design, valve sizing, technical problem-solving, and manufacturing support while working closely with customers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with relief valves, control valves, regulators, chokes, or pressure relief products
• Knowledge of API, ANSI/ISA, ISO, and NACE standards
• Experience managing BOMs, ECRs, and ECNs
• AutoCAD and ERP/MRP system experience
• Customer-facing applications engineering experience
• Knowledge of metallurgy and welding processes

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite position in the Oklahoma City area. You'll work in a collaborative manufacturing environment alongside engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to support innovative valve and flow control products.

This is a Permanent position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
