Job summary

Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems I LLC in Novi, MI is seeking an early-career automotive interiors design engineer to translate customer requirements into robust designs and deliver them within budget and BOM targets.

You will lead design activities, communicate with customers and suppliers, and launch products using structured processes while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Level Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of automotive interiors experience.
• Willing to travel to customer sites.
• Experience with injection molded products is preferred.

Specific Requirements:

Required Education Level:

Bachelor's Level Degree

Area of Study: mechanical engineering, or equivalent degree in a technical field (manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, materials science, industrial & operations, etc.)

• *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.

Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):

1 -3 Minimum Years of relevant experience in automotive interiors.

Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):

• Experience leading programs with full engineering responsibility.
• Experience in injection molded productspreferred
• Experience in cut, saw and wrap designs
• Experience in mechanisms preferred - buttons, door openers, glove box, levers
• Siemens TeamCenter PLM experience
• CATIA and NX experience
• Good PC-Skills (Word, Excel, MS Project).
