Job summary

MACOM is seeking a Product Engineer for RF/MMIC to support development, test, and production launches across the product lifecycle. You will work with Product Management, Design, Test, Reliability, Applications, and Manufacturing to characterize data and optimize yield.

The role emphasizes RF/microwave knowledge, data-driven decision making, and hands-on measurement and test plan validation. Experience with MATLAB/Python/JMP/LabVIEW is valued.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor devices, analog/RF circuits, measurement equipment, statistics and data analysis.
• Experience from coursework, internships, or projects involving RF design, electronics testing, semiconductor devices, MATLAB/Python/JMP/LabVIEW or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Support product development from engineering samples to production launch.
• Assist with collection and analysis of production and characterization data.
• Participate in development and validation of production test plans.
• Support RF and microwave laboratory measurements.
• Assist in root-cause investigations for product, test, and manufacturing issues.

Product Engineer, RF/MMIC

Job Description:

MACOM's MMIC Product Engineering team is seeking a motivated engineer to support the development and production release of RF and microwave semiconductor products. This role provides hands-on experience throughout the product lifecycle, from engineering samples through production launch and sustaining support.

Working closely with Product Management, Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Applications Engineering, and Manufacturing Operations, you will participate in product characterization, data analysis, test development, yield improvement, and new product introductions. Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in: Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering or Related Engineering Discipline

Experience from coursework, internships, or projects involving:

• RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator)
• Microwave fundamentals

Internship or co-op experience in:

• Semiconductor industry
• Aerospace and defense
• RF or microwave engineering

RSU Eligible

Salary Range

The Salary Range for this position is $71,000 – $94,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
