Qualifications:
- BS in mechanical engineering with 2-5 years of experience in an industrial product engineering field.
- Experience with heat transfer, thermo-mechanical, hydraulic, combustion, and basic electrical engineering methods.
- Experience owning a product from design through customer experience.
- Thorough understanding of drafting standards.
- Experience managing engineering data in ERP or MRP systems.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with ability to resolve issues independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work within strict deadlines, multitask, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Experience communicating across organizational levels, including technical and project reviews.
- Strong technical writing skills, including proofreading and editing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve thermal- and electro-mechanical products through performance analysis, research, testing, and stakeholder feedback.
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for product updates.
- Oversee creation and revision of engineering documentation, including drawings and BOMs.
- Create and maintain customer-facing documents such as manuals and technical specifications.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses for performance prediction.
- Address design issues, study failure modes, and mitigate risks.
- Design testing methods to validate product capabilities.
- Consider manufacturing processes during design to improve efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Assist with prototype setup and testing, making adjustments as needed.
- Obtain and maintain product approvals from external agencies like UL and CE (ATEX/IECEx).
- Provide product training to employees to ensure proper understanding and usage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless product integration and improvements.
