Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp. (CPP) Euclid is a growing investment casting foundry serving aerospace and gas turbine markets. The team develops and improves casting processes and tooling, applying proven methods to deliver quality parts while expanding technical expertise.

You will learn from experienced pros, contribute to continuous improvement, and build a strong foundation in manufacturing engineering within a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience: 0-5 years in mechanical or product engineering in investment casting.
  • Knowledge of DS/SX casting process, shell parameters and dimensional impact.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and statistics.
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the construction of dies, gages, and tooling for ceramic cores, wax patterns, and castings.
  • Identify and improve process yields using statistics, DOE, and Six Sigma techniques.
  • Interface with tooling vendors and CPP Purchasing to obtain quality tools at a competitive price.
  • Control dimensional quality of castings to meet customer expectations.
  • Develop internal job instructions and document processes.
  • Identify and implement new process technologies to improve manufacturing and product capabilities.
  • Publish reports on research and completed tests using data-driven decisions.
  • Routinely audit production lots for repeatability of results.

Job Summary

Are you early in your manufacturing or engineering career and eager to learn from experienced professionals while making a real impact? In this role, you’ll learn and apply proven best-practice casting methods, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and work hands-on to identify and solve process challenges that affect quality, yield, and rework. Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the construction of dies (shrink factor analysis), gages and support tooling needed to produce and inspect ceramic cores, wax patterns and castings.
  • Identify and improve process yields using various data analysis techniques (statistical, mathematical, DOE, 6 Sigma, etc.) to uncover variables in the process.
  • Interface with tooling vendors and CPP Purchasing to produce a quality tool/die at a competitive price.
  • Control the dimensional quality of castings to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop internal job instructions.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement new process technologies that will improve manufacturing and product capabilities.
  • Document work procedures and processes.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure organizational objectives are met.
  • Publish reports on research and completed tests using data-based decisions.
  • Routinely audit production lots for adherence to established techniques and to ensure the repeatability of the results.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
  • Improve labor utilization and reduce cost.
Qualifications
  • Education: BS in Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience: 0-5 years’ experience in mechanical or product engineering in the investment casting industry. Increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Certifications/Licenses: None

Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of DS/SX (Directionally Solidified / Single Crystal) casting process, shell parameters and dimensional impact. Knowledge of statistics. Working knowledge of GD&T. Ability to interpret customer specifications relative to establishing internal written NDT specifications. Excellent analytical skills. Excellent communication skills. Strong PC skills. Strong program management skills. CAD Skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and documentation skills. Ability to interpret customer drawings and models. Working Environment
  • Working Environment: Office Environment. Occasional work required on weekends.
  • Physical Demands: Sitting/Standing for extended periods of time, able to lift 20lbs, extended periods of time using a computer screen.
  • Travel Requirements: 10%
  • Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working.
  • Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
  • Steel Toed Shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant.
