Job summary

HookedCRM is seeking a Product Engineer to build features end-to-end across the calling workspace and AI assistant. You will own meaningful slices of the product — from idea, through design, through ship — and work directly with founders, designers, and customers.

This is a builder role for engineers who care about the product as much as the code.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production web apps in a modern stack.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node, and PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable across UI, API, data model, and infra.
• Strong product sense and ability to ship with partial information.
• Bias to ship and make decisions when information is incomplete.

Responsibilities

• Ship features end-to-end across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with design to turn rough concepts into polished product surfaces.
• Make calls on architecture, scope, and tradeoffs.
• Talk to customers, observe usage, and use findings to drive what gets built.

• Make calls on architecture, scope, and tradeoffs
• Talk to customers, watch usage, and use what you learn to drive what gets built
• Improve developer ergonomics, observability, and reliability as you go

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years building production web apps in a modern stack
• Strong with TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node, Postgres
• Comfortable across the stack — UI, API, data model, and infra
• Product taste — you can tell when something is good, and when it’s almost good
• Bias to ship; comfortable making decisions with partial information

Nice to Have

• Experience with telephony, real-time systems, or LLM-powered features
• Familiarity with AWS, Vercel, or similar cloud infrastructure
• Background working closely with design
