Job summary

INEOS Styrolution, a leading styrenics producer, seeks a Product Development Specialist to drive new materials from lab to market. The role covers testing, formulation development, and customer support across multiple applications.

Initial months in Channahon, IL, then relocation to Aurora, IL, with collaboration across regional and global teams. You will apply polymer science knowledge to deliver high-quality data, support manufacturing, and contribute to continuous improvements and safety

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant industrial experience; up to 5 years preferred.
• Experience in product development, laboratory testing, technical service, manufacturing support, or related technical functions.
• Experience designing experiments, interpreting technical data, and working in cross-functional teams is preferred.
• Relevant internships or co-op assignments may be considered toward the minimum experience.
• Familiarity with compounding, extrusion, and injection molding is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop new styrenic products, formulations, blends and applications.
• Plan and execute laboratory and fabrication activities for development projects.
• Provide technical recommendations based on test results and product performance.
• Lead regional/global product development initiatives; support commercialization and technology transfer.
• Perform physical, mechanical, thermal, rheological and analytical testing on developmental materials.
• Analyze results and communicate findings via reports and presentations.
• Support customers and manufacturing with technical consultations and on-site troubleshooting.
