Job summary

Innovative Labs, a leading maker of liquid dietary supplements, seeks a Product Development Scientist II to drive formulation development from concept to pilot scale. This role focuses on liquid, gel, and powder products, turning customer ideas into compliant, cost-effective formulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of product development experience in food, beverage, or dietary supplements, or a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with laboratory equipment (e.g. pH probe, sample preparation, and experimental testing).
• Proven experience applying cGMPs in a laboratory or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop formulations (liquid, gel, or powder) that meet customer specs, cost targets, and stability requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales to support customer interactions and communicate development progress.
• Research ingredients via vendor docs, literature, and market data to identify opportunities.
• Prepare bench-top prototypes, test, and refine formulas for quality and performance.
• Document formulations with accurate ingredient statements and panels.
