Job summary

Henkel in Massachusetts is offering a Product Development & Optimization internship with the Technomelt brand in our Adhesive Technologies unit. You’ll gain hands-on experience formulating products in a lab, participate in lab-scale batch making and test performance and quality, and learn the full product formulation life cycle from lab development to production and market launch.

You’ll work with SAP systems, analyze data, and contribute insights to strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student graduating in 2027/2028/2029 pursuing Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to interpret technical and performance data and recommend actionable next steps.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and brainstorming skills to support innovation.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience creating product formulations in a lab environment.
• Participate in lab-scale batch making processes for packaging, labeling, and hygiene adhesive applications.
• Conduct specific application testing to evaluate product performance and quality.
• Learn the full product formulation life cycle - from lab development to production and market launch.

Additional information

• This internship is not eligible for a housing stipend orrelocation support.
• This internship has a duration of May 24th – August 13th
• Recruitment for our 2027 internships starts in September 2026 and runs through early March 2027 or until all our positions are filled

The salary range for this role is $22-27/hour. This is the rate that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
