Job summary

Executive Profiles Inc. is seeking a Product Development/Fabric R&D manager in NYC to lead fabric development and overseas sourcing efforts.

You will interact with cross-functional teams including design, production, and suppliers to drive activewear and performance fabric programs. The role requires a strong background in textiles, 5+ years in fabric development, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in textiles required.
• At least 5 years in fabric development, materials, and sourcing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to maintain collaborative relationships across teams.
• Capable of fast-paced multitasking in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with overseas factories and manage fabric development during the product life cycle for activewear and performance wear.
• Approve fabric testing, color, labeling, and country of origin.
• Track all samples, fabric development and trim orders using WIP reports.
• Create fabric charts and coordinate lab dips, knit downs, and strike offs.
• Review outstanding issues and perform problem solving.
• Organize and maintain raw material trim library and file accordingly.
• Allocate and follow up on development packages sent to overseas factories for sampling and approvals.
• Collaborate with design and merchandising on sourcing new knit fabrications and development.
• Monitor seasonal time and action calendars to ensure deliveries.
