Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in product management, product development, technical program management, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience leading New Product Development (NPD) programs and stage-gate processes.
  • Strong financial acumen, including product costing, pricing strategy, forecasting, and profitability management.
  • Experience developing and presenting business cases to senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor, specialty chemical, advanced materials, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the complete product lifecycle from concept through commercialization and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and growth plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead new product development (NPD) programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage product profitability, including pricing strategy, cost structure analysis, forecasting, and key business metrics.
  • Develop business cases and support strategic investment decisions for new products and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, capacity changes, supply-demand dynamics, pricing movements, and competitive opportunities.
  • Define customer and market requirements for next-generation products and technologies.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams to execute product strategies.
  • Lead product reviews and stage-gate processes while ensuring successful execution of project deliverables.
  • Support customer-facing initiatives including technical discussions, audit preparation, corrective actions, and escalation management.
  • Oversee product change management activities and coordinate customer communication related to product or process changes.
  • Drive cost reduction, operational efficiency, and long-term margin improvement efforts.

About the Opportunity

A growing advanced materials manufacturer serving leading semiconductor and high-tech customers is seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to lead strategic product initiatives across the full product lifecycle.   • Demonstrated success managing products from concept through launch and long-term lifecycle ownership.
  • Experience working with forecasting models, supply chain optimization, and customer strategy initiatives.
