Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vehicle Engineering / Product Development Lead to support automotive product development programs in Dearborn, MI.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automotive product development, with hands-on expertise in industry-leading PLM and engineering tools such as 3DEXPERIENCE and Teamcenter.

Candidates with experience working in an OEM or Tier-1 automotive environment are highly preferred. Prior experience supporting Ford Motor Company programs will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support vehicle engineering and product development activities throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
• Support product definition, engineering design, and product development processes.
• Manage and coordinate engineering release processes and ensure accurate product data.
• Support BOM (Bill of Materials) management and configuration management activities.
• Work with cross-functional engineering teams to maintain product definition and engineering data.
• Utilize PLM systems such as 3DEXPERIENCE and Teamcenter for product lifecycle and engineering data management.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Identify and resolve product development and engineering data issues.
• Ensure engineering processes and product data comply with program requirements and established standards.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Automotive Vehicle Engineering / Product Development.
• Hands-on experience with 3DEXPERIENCE and/or Teamcenter.
• Strong understanding of the vehicle development lifecycle.
• Experience with Product Definition and engineering data management.
• Experience with Engineering Release processes.
• Strong knowledge of BOM Management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with an Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier.
• Previous experience supporting Ford Motor Company programs.
• Experience leading or coordinating vehicle engineering/product development teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
