Blue Signal Search is seeking a Product Development & Integration Engineer to drive optical hardware from development through qualification and into manufacturing. You will collaborate with design, testing, reliability and manufacturing teams to ensure readiness and scalable production.

Ideal candidates have a strong systems engineering background and experience with RF/high-speed testing in optical environments, with onsite onboarding in Colorado Springs for several months, and potential hybrid

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
• Experience with optical transceivers, optical modules, or similar systems.
• Experience guiding hardware products from development to manufacturing launch.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate optical hardware from development to production introduction and ongoing manufacturing support.
• Evaluate specifications, performance, and tradeoffs to anticipate issues before production.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, testing and reliability teams to improve readiness and consistency.
• Analyze optical, RF, and electrical data to identify causes and guide fixes.
• Support engineering changes, documentation, and qualification activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and align development stages.
• Provide engineering support to address yield, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Focus:

• Coordinate the progression of complex optical hardware from engineering development through qualification, production introduction, and ongoing manufacturing support.
• Evaluate product specifications, system performance, and technical tradeoffs to identify potential challenges before production release.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to strengthen product readiness, improve production consistency, and support scalable manufacturing.
• Analyze optical, electrical, and RF-related performance data to investigate product issues, identify potential causes, and guide technical resolutions.
• Support engineering changes, component replacements, technical documentation, and qualification activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Partner with design, testing, reliability, supply chain, and operations teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain alignment across development stages.
• Provide ongoing product-level engineering support to address manufacturing yield concerns, reliability issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Skill Set:

• Strong technical background in optical or optoelectronic hardware, preferably involving optical transceivers, optical modules, or comparable integrated systems.
• Experience supporting complex hardware products through development, engineering qualification, manufacturing introduction, and production.
• Systems engineering knowledge, including product requirements, design intent, performance considerations, and technical tradeoffs.
• Ability to interpret engineering performance data, including RF or high-speed electrical testing, and investigate product yield or reliability issues.
• Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams, including design, manufacturing, testing, reliability, and operations.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management, engineering change processes, manufacturing qualification, and structured technical problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field, with relevant professional experience and availability for onsite onboarding in Colorado Springs for approximately 3 to 6 months.
