Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Product Development Engineering Specialist to drive NPI efforts for new tape adhesives in consumer electronics. The role focuses on scaling up and commercialization, leading cross-functional teams, and optimizing cost, quality, and safety.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD with 4+ years in data collection or product/process design, plus strong experience in process optimization and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

• PhD in science or engineering with 4+ years in data collection, product/process design, or material properties.
• Private/public/government/military sectors experience required.
• Master's or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science, or Polymer Engineering; 3+ years in process optimization and NPD/quality improvement; Six Sigma advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to drive cost, quality, and safety improvements.
• Manage change documentation; participate in quality investigations and CAPAs.
• Identify supply chain and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support manufacturing safety initiatives.
• Develop operational strategies.
• Be on-call for severe service or quality issues.

• Preferred: Master's or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science, or Polymer Engineering, 3+ years in process optimization, statistical problem solving, and NPD or quality improvement projects; Six Sigma experience advantageous.
