Nexgrill Industries Inc is seeking a Product Development Engineer with an industrial design background to shape our consumer lineup from concept through production launch. You will blend aesthetics with technical execution and own projects end-to-end.

The role requires collaboration with Industrial Design, Marketing, Sales, and Suppliers, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and brand cohesion across materials, finishes, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Turn product concepts and design intent into manufacturable mechanical solutions
• Build, refine, and validate 3D models, drawings, assemblies, and BOMs
• Select materials, finishes, and processes balancing performance, cost, and brand quality
• Collaborate with Industrial Design, Marketing, Sales, Quality, and Merchandising to elevate aesthetics and functionality
• Work with global suppliers on manufacture, tooling, and production readiness
• Lead sample reviews, pilot builds, and first-article inspections
• Support testing, durability, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Analyze results and implement corrective actions
• Create and maintain technical documentation and specifications
• Identify ways to improve product quality, cost, and user experience

About the Role:

We're seeking a Product Development Engineer with an industrial design background to help shape the future of our consumer product lineup. This role blends aesthetic sensibility with technical execution, giving you ownership from early concept through production launch.

You'll work with design, engineering, and cross-functional partners to build products that are not only mechanically sound but visually compelling and aligned with market expectations. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy influencing both form and function, this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

• Turn product concepts and design intent into manufacturable mechanical solutions
• Build, refine, and validate 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and BOMs
• Select materials, finishes, and processes that balance performance, cost, and brand quality
• Work closely with Industrial Design, Marketing, Sales, Quality, and Merchandising to elevate product aesthetics and functionality
• Collaborate with global suppliers on design for manufacture and assembly, tooling, and production readiness
• Lead sample reviews, pilot builds, and first-article inspections
• Support performance, durability, safety testing, and regulatory compliance
• Analyze test results, solve issues through root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation and specifications
• Continuously identify ways to improve product quality, cost, and user experience

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial design or a related field
• 3-6 years of product development experience in consumer products, appliances, electronics, or related industries
• Strong SolidWorks skills (3D modeling, assemblies, 2D drawings)
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Solid grasp of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, tolerances, and basic GD&T
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Exceptional visual judgment with meticulous attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communicator

Location: Onsite-Chino, CA Salary: $85,000- $110,000
