Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a Design and Release Engineer for frames and structures to lead forward-model development, ensure robust designs, and drive integration with crash, durability, and thermal management requirements.

You will apply DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plans, and Engineering Specifications, mentor peers, and deliver cost and warranty reduction through benchmarking.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in frames or structures Design and Release.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work with cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Design and Release Engineering for frames, mounts, spare tire winches, and/or tow hooks through forward-model development, release, and launch.
• Apply DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Perfect Drawing Plan, and Engineering Specifications to deliver robust designs and avoid failure modes.
• Lead overall design to meet package, crash, durability, commercial upfitting, and thermal management vehicle attributes.
• Lead, review, and approve frame structure designs against component engineering specifications and vehicle requirements.
• Resolve durability, assembly, and functional issues.
• Coach, technically mentor, and guide peer engineers through Technical Club forums.
• Deliver material cost reduction, warranty reduction, and benchmarking initiatives.
