Job summary

Knight Wall Systems Inc. is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive design, prototyping, and testing of advanced attachment solutions for cladding and building envelopes.

You will lead from concept to launch, develop CAD models, validate with testing, and collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure high-performance, sustainable products that meet evolving standards.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in R&D or new product development.
• Proficiency with CAD and simulation tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, FEA) and data apps.
• Familiarity with ASTM, AISI, ICC standards for building envelopes.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop new products and processes for cladding systems.
• Create prototypes and support fabrication; transition designs to manufacturing.
• Maintain CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and ERP libraries in development.
• Coordinate testing, code compliance reports, and third‑party lab activities.
• Develop test plans for components and assemblies; ensure performance and quality.
• Collaborate across design, manufacturing, and QA teams; mentor junior engineers.
• Develop schedules, monitor progress, and draft SOPs and equipment specs.
