In this position...The interior Craftsmanship Engineer will be responsible for elevating the craftsmanship of our vehicles, ensuring every Ford vehicle delivers an exceptional customer experience. You will play a critical role in driving design and process excellence, and ensuring our vehicles meet and exceed perceived quality expectation from concept to launch.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
3 years of experience in automotive quality, design, or manufacturing, with a focus on interior craftsmanship, fit and finish or perceived quality.
1 year of CAD experience.
Even better, you may have a Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or an equivalent technical discipline.
Automotive product development & systems engineering experience.
Experience evaluating designs and vehicles to appearance standards.
Experience performing or analyzing tolerance stack-up studies (RSS, VSA, etc.).
Demonstrated knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to develop action plans and lead implementation in cross‑functional teams.
Highly‑motivated, self‑starting individual.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong PC skills with experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $65,100-$109,300.
This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.
This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
