Job summary

Nemco Food Equipment is seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead new product concepts from idea through commercialization. You will drive organic initiatives, partnering with production, quality, sales, and service, while designing, prototyping, testing and validating systems.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in product development, and hands-on experience with sheet metal, casting, and injection molding, plus strong PM and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in product development.
• Full product lifecycle experience.
• Experience with sheet metal, casting, injection molding.
• Mechanical/electrical systems understanding.
• SolidWorks proficiency.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in the food service industry is preferred.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead the development of new, organically generated product concepts from idea through commercialization. This role plays a key part in expanding Nemco’s product portfolio by identifying opportunities, developing innovative solutions, and bringing them to market efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of new products, from concept through production launch.

Work Hours:

Mon-Fri 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm

Requirements

• 5+ years in product development.

• Mechanical/electrical systems understanding.
• SolidWorks proficiency.
