Job summary

LHH in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks a Product Development Engineer to lead new product development from concept through commercialization with cross‑functional teams. This is a direct hire, permanent placement with a manufacturing client and a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities include designing innovative products, creating prototypes, developing specifications and documentation, and ensuring manufacturability through design-for-manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Product Design, or related discipline is required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of product development engineering experience within the manufacturing industry is required.
• Experience developing products through the complete lifecycle from concept through commercialization.
• Experience with CAD design, engineering documentation, and prototype development.
• Experience with ISO 13485 or regulated quality systems.
• Experience creating test methodologies and validation protocols.
• Experience supporting design-for-manufacturing initiatives.
• Experience generating quality and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting patent documentation activities.
• Strong communication skills across multiple departments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development projects from concept through commercial launch.

The LHH is seeking a Product Development Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $85K and $115K per year and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.
