Job Title: Product Development Chemist I

Location:

Chester, New Jersey

Onsite

Hours:

8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the product formulation team to improve existing products and develop new ones, with opportunities for growth into higher technical or managerial roles.
2. Develop new products in partnership with Quality, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams.
3. Design and execute experiments to support product development.
4. Leverage internal and external knowledge to enhance product formulations.
5. Support plant scale-ups and coordinate with quality and manufacturing teams.
6. Manage and train junior chemists and technicians.
7. Analyze data, document results, and recommend next steps.
8. Perform physical and application testing of products.
9. Monitor industry trends and ensure laboratory safety and cleanliness.
10. Support resolution of quality issues.

Requirements:

1. BS in Chemistry or a related discipline with 5+ years of experience.
2. Knowledge of coatings, formulation tools, techniques, performance metrics, and manufacturing processes.
3. Strong management and cross-functional team skills.
4. Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
5. Good analytical and problem-solving skills for timely and accurate decision-making.
