Job summary

Torrid is seeking a Product Development Assistant in City of Industry, California to support the PD team through the product lifecycle. You will partner with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, and Product Development to ensure timely execution and clear communication.

You will maintain weekly WIP reports, track samples and milestones, and assist with PO processes. 2 years of related experience and strong organizational skills are expected, with opportunities to grow within a collaborative,

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in product development, merchandising, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with cross-functional teams to support development activities and ensure alignment.
• Maintain and update weekly WIP reports across multiple seasons.
• Track samples, approvals, and key milestones in accordance with calendars and deadlines.
• Support purchase order processes, ensuring timeliness and proper documentation.
• Assist in managing communication with offshore vendors and factories to drive progress on milestones.
• Provide administrative and organizational support to the Product Development team.
• Support the Production Manager with day-to-day responsibilities and tracking deliverables.
