Torrid, a leader in plus-size fashion, seeks a Senior Technical Designer for bras in California. You will transform design concepts into production-ready bras, leading fit, pad development, and construction across underwire, wireless, molded cups, and more.

This role partners with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and overseas vendors to ensure quality and fit from concept to production. The ideal candidate has extensive bra construction experience, advanced fit engineering knowledge,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of technical design or intimate apparel product development experience.
Extensive technical design experience in bras including pad development, underwire, wireless, molded cup, and specialty bra constructions.

Responsibilities

Own fit, construction, quality, and consistency for assigned bra categories from concept through production.
Lead fit sessions and provide clear fit comments.
Collaborate with domestic and overseas vendors to resolve technical issues and fit corrections.
Review bra patterns and pad molds/slopers and adjust patterns for optimal fit.
Ensure consistency in fit, grading, construction, and quality across classifications.
Maintain Torrid bra fit standards, grade rules, and tolerance specs.
Identify potential fit or quality concerns early and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Provide expertise in bra construction, including pad development and support components.
Partner with design, product development, merchandising, and QA to balance aesthetics, fit, and cost.
