Job summary

VIVA USA Inc is seeking a hands-on Product Development/Project Management professional to drive testing, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timelines are met while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes retail merchandising knowledge, SKU/UPC oversight, and comprehensive stakeholder communications. Onsite 3 days weekly with standard business hours in Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or specialized training.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in product development/merchandising/project management.
• PMP credential preferred or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Develop testing plans including UAT, usability, and performance testing.
• Analyze market data, customer feedback, and industry reports to guide product development.
• Conduct benchmarking studies and provide insights on competitive positioning.
• Assist in defining project scopes, creating timelines, and tracking milestones.
• Identify patterns and opportunities for optimization and innovation and report to management.
• Communicate progress updates to stakeholders including product managers and executives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist with documentation for submissions.
• Encourage team to explore innovative solutions to operational challenges.
• Identify areas of concern and document details for records maintenance.

Job description

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops testing plans to ensure the quality and functionality of products by conducting user acceptance testing, usability testing, and performance testing.
• Analyzes market data, customer feedback, and industry reports to inform product development decisions and identify opportunities for new products or enhancements.
• Conducts benchmarking studies and provides insights on competitive positioning, market share, and differentiation strategies.
• Under general supervision, assists in defining project scopes, creating project timelines, and tracking progress against milestones.
• Identifies patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization and innovation, providing summarizations to management for review and progression.
• Communicates progress updates and recommendations to key stakeholders, including product managers, executives, and other relevant teams.
• Ensures full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, and assists in preparing necessary documentation and certifications for regulatory submissions.
• Encourages team members to explore innovative solutions and approaches to operational challenges, in order to progress team skills development and experience.
• Identifies opportunities of areas of concern and recommends corrective actions, documenting all key details into the company database for accurate records maintenance and integrity.

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Prior Relevant Work Experience

• 3-5 years

• Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills
• Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
