Job summary

MSIG USA seeks an experienced Commercial Insurance Product Analyst to gather, analyze, and deliver form, rate and rule requirements for commercial insurance applications. You will work with business leaders, product managers, operations, developers, and end-users to align requirements with business objectives.

The role requires a strong understanding of commercial insurance products and the ability to translate needs into precise specifications with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Experience in end-to-end product development for proprietary and bureau lines.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance vendor software platforms.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint for documentation and collaboration.
  • Deep understanding of commercial insurance products including property, casualty, workers’ comp, auto, financial lines.
  • Ability to translate policy forms and rules into system requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; independent and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and translate business needs into system requirements for commercial insurance applications.
  • Analyze processes and identify automation and system improvements in the commercial insurance space.
  • Collaborate with developers to design and implement system requirements.
  • Develop clear, detailed requirement documentation for stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Insurance Product Analyst to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and delivering form, rate and rule requirements for commercial insurance applications. You will work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, product managers, operations, developers, and end‑users, to ensure that all requirements are well‑defined and aligned with business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial insurance products and the ability to translate business needs into clear specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with key stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into system requirements for commercial insurance applications.
  • Business Analysis: Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and system improvements within the commercial insurance domain.
  • System Design: Work with development teams to design and implement system requirements that support core commercial insurance functionality.
  • Documentation: Develop clear, detailed, and structured system requirement documentation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring that system requirements meet both business needs and technical constraints.
  • User Acceptance Validation: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that system requirements are correctly implemented and meet functional and business expectations.
  • Project Support: Provide ongoing support during project development, including assisting with prioritization, resolving requirements‑related issues, and ensuring that changes are appropriately documented and tracked.
  • Risk & Impact Assessment: Evaluate potential risks and impacts of system changes and help develop mitigation strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of strong knowledge relating to the end‑to‑end Product Development process for both proprietary and bureau line of business.
  • Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of commercial insurance vendor software platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SharePoint.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including but not limited to property, casualty, workers' compensation, auto, financial lines.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze policy forms and rules and translate them for system requirement development.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on delivering effective solutions.
Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year. This is a good‑faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, MSIG USA will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job‑related factors.
