Job summary

Epicor seeks a hands-on Principal Product Developer to architect and deliver scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions powering our products and platforms. You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and drive modernization across cloud environments while championing AI adoption.

The role requires deep technical leadership, problem-solving acumen, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver business value and maintainable systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 4+ years in an Architect, Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar leadership role.
• Strong expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native design.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and integration patterns.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, influence architectural decisions, and mentor engineers.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive solution, application, and platform architecture for enterprise software products.
• Lead design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of cloud-native solutions.
• Contribute to software development, debugging, and delivery of platform capabilities.
• Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and governance across teams.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership for complex initiatives.
• Design systems focused on scalability, reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.

As Principal Product Developer at Epicor, you will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for architecting and delivering scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions that power our products and platforms. You will partner with engineering teams and stakeholders to turn complex business challenges into innovative technology solutions while driving modern engineering practices, cloud transformation, and AI adoption. What you will be doing:
