Job summary

The Moret Group is seeking a Product Developer / Colorist to manage the development lifecycle of private label activewear. You will partner with design, technical design, production, and external partners to deliver high-performance, trend-forward products.

Hybrid work arrangement allows 4 days in office and 1 day remote. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, with a strong color sense and excellent communication skills to ensure accuracy across tech packs and development

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of color/apparel product development experience, preferably in activewear.
  • Experience reviewing lab dips, strike-offs, and color submits to established standards.
  • Experience collaborating with overseas factories is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve lab dips, strike-offs, shade bands, and bulk submits; communicate with overseas factories and cross-functional teams.
  • Convey with external cross-functional teams and internal partners.
  • Evaluate pre-production and production garments with product/technical design teams to ensure accurate specs.

Job description

We are looking for a results-driven Product Developer / Colorist to manage the development lifecycle of private label activewear. This role partners closely with design, technical design, production, and external partners to deliver high-performance, trend-forward products. This role has a potential to be 4 days a week in office and 1 day remote.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly organized, has a good sense of color and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve all lab dips, strike offs, shade bands, and bulk submits and communicate with overseas factories and cross functional teams. Conduct Spectrophotometer and lightbox readings as needed.
  • Communicate with external cross functional teams.
  • Evaluate pre-production and production garments, collaborating closely with product and technical design teams to ensure accurate product and expectation were established.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tech packs and verifying information for internal and external partners.
  • Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets and development documents.
  • Manage seasonal color library for use by the design team.
  • Update comments and data in PLM systems.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in color / apparel product development (activewear experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience reviewing and evaluating lab dips, strike-offs, and color submits against established standards. Knowledge working with Spectrophotometer and light box a plus
  • Experience working with overseas factories
