We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Trust & Risk team—someone who is passionate about creating thoughtful, scalable systems that protect buyers and sellers and strengthen trust across our marketplace. In this role, you’ll design tools, workflows, and user experiences that help detect policy violations, reduce fraud and abuse, enforce platform decisions with precision and fairness, and support users through education, actioning, and appeals. You’ll partner closely with product designers, product managers, engineers, operations, data scientists, and policy experts to build solutions that balance safety, speed, and user trust. This could include designing appeals flows, account standing and compliance experiences, internal review and enforcement tools, and real‑time interventions during live shows.
You’ll report to a Design leader and will have the option to either work from one of our office hubs (LA, SF, NYC, or Seattle) or remote (U.S. only).
People who do well at Whatnot tend to be comfortable figuring things out as they go, biased toward action, and genuinely curious about what they're building. They care more about outcomes than credit and stay close to the product and the people using it.
