Job summary

Light is hiring its second Product Designer. You will own your own research-to-production design process across verticals and market expansion, partnering with our design lead to raise the quality bar through ongoing critique.

You’ll research categories unfamiliar to many designers, identify moments that drive customers to commit to an energy plan, and ship work that shapes Light’s product as it expands into new geographies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product design experience or a portfolio that demonstrates breadth across categories.
• Ability to identify high-value inflection points in a customer journey and design accordingly.
• Experience establishing or shaping design culture within a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Research new prospect audiences and partner programs to find where customers are ready to act and design toward those moments.
• Own the screens you touch and contribute to a shared quality standard through critique with the design lead.
• Help build the research process and define how findings inform direction.
