Job summary

Kpler is seeking a Product Designer to shape how global decision-makers interact with energy, maritime, and commodity intel. You will craft end-to-end user journeys, turn complex data workflows into intuitive interfaces, and uphold design quality across web and terminal platforms using Figma and Atlas.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional product design experience for web apps, dashboards, or data-intensive B2B software.
• Advanced mastery of Figma including auto-layout, interactive components, design tokens, and prototyping.
• End-to-end UX/UI craft from discovery through pixel-perfect design and developer handoff.
• Ability to simplify dense, multi-step workflows into clear user journeys.
• Strong English verbal and written communication to align with product and engineering peers.

About the Role

As a Product Designer at Kpler, you will play a key role in shaping how global decision-makers interact with complex energy, maritime, and commodity trade intelligence. Working within a collaborative cross-functional product squad, you will craft intuitive end-to-end user journeys, turn intricate data workflows into elegant interfaces, and champion design quality across our web and terminal platforms. Leveraging Figma and our design system, your work will directly empower thousands of analysts and traders around the world to extract instant, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design intuitive product experiences: Conceptualize, prototype, and deliver user-centered design solutions in Figma for new product capabilities and core workflow enhancements.

• Translate complex data into clear interfaces: Distill intricate data flows, geospatial mapping tools, and market analytics into simple, human-centric user interfaces.

• Evolve and leverage our design system: Adhere to and contribute to Kpler's shared design system (Atlas) to maintain visual consistency, component quality, and usability standards.

• Craft 3-6 month product design visions: Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leads to define user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes for upcoming product milestones.

• Validate designs through research and feedback: Gather user feedback, analyze interaction patterns, and iterate rapidly to refine interaction details, micro-copy, and edge-case behaviors.

• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work seamlessly with engineers and product stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure design intent and quality are preserved in production.

Experience & Background

What you'll need (Must-haves)

• Product design experience: 2-4 years of professional experience as a Product Designer crafting web applications, complex dashboards, or data-intensive B2B software products.

• Figma proficiency: Advanced mastery of Figma, including auto-layout, interactive components, design tokens, responsive layout rules, and prototyping best practices.

• End-to-end UX/UI craft: Demonstrated ability to drive design projects from discovery and user flow mapping through to pixel-perfect visual design and developer handoff.

• Problem-solving mindset: Strong knack for simplifying dense, multi-step workflows into clear, frictionless user journeys.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to articulate design rationale and align with product and engineering peers.

Nice-to-haves

• Data-dense or B2B platforms: Experience designing interfaces for SaaS, analytics, financial terminals, supply chain, or maritime tools.

• Design system contributions: Prior experience maintaining or scaling a shared component library in a multi-team environment.

• Usability testing & research: Practical experience conducting qualitative user interviews or usability testing sessions.
