project44 is seeking a Product Designer (LSP44) to craft end-to-end experiences for AI agents and embeddable interfaces in a lean, fast-moving environment. You will work across product, engineering, sales, and marketing to translate complex logistics workflows into clear, usable designs.

The role emphasizes partnering with engineers, owning design for multiple areas, and contributing to the design system. Chicago onsite role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or related field.

Job description

Join a small, senior team building next-generation AI agent and API infrastructure for LSP44, designing legible and trustworthy experiences for real operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end experiences for LSP44’s AI agents and embeddable interfaces, including dashboards, exception queues, agent monitoring, and configuration
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to translate complex logistics and agent workflows into clear, usable designs
• Design for two audiences simultaneously: LSP operators running agents day to day, and developers embedding LSP44 into their products
• Contribute to and evolve LSP44’s design system and interaction patterns as the agent portfolio grows
• Run or support user research and testing with LSP operators to validate design direction
• Prototype rapidly to validate agent interaction patterns before committing engineering effort
• Own end-to-end design for one or more areas of the LSP44 agent portfolio and technology, from early concept and prototyping through shipped product
• Work directly with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, including forward-deployed engineers on-site with customers, to design for real operational complexity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in product design or UX, ideally in B2B SaaS or a technically complex domain
• Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools
• Track record of partnering directly with engineering to ship technical products
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders
• Comfortable working across distributed teams and time zones

• Not required to be a data scientist, but expected to identify where AI adds value, direct it effectively, evaluate outputs critically, and govern it responsibly

Ideal Background

• Product design experience in B2B SaaS, logistics/supply chain, or another operationally complex domain
• Comfort working in a lean, fast-moving, 0-to-1 environment, partnering tightly with engineering rather than relying on hand-offs
• Experience designing for AI-driven, agentic, or automation-heavy products is a strong plus
• Portfolio showing end-to-end design process from research through shipped product
• Supply chain, logistics, or freight brokerage experience is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary range: $112,000-$168,000 USD per year
• Base salary is one component of total compensation, which may include stock options for all EOR and project44-employed team members
• Bonus or commission eligibility depending on role
