Job summary

Clay is seeking an experienced Product Designer to shape the next generation of our data tools. You will design and ship core features across the product, collaborating with engineers, researchers, and product managers to deliver intuitive interfaces that scale.

As an early designer, you’ll blend design and product thinking to reimagine how users interact with data in Clay, building lightweight prototypes and refining interactions to make complex workflows feel effortless.

Qualifications

• Clear design process and ability to identify problems and tradeoffs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across levels and teams.
• Systems thinking to create simple interfaces for complex tasks.
• Ability to deliver pixel-perfect designs that inspire engineers.
• Thinking in interactions over static screens to design responsive systems.
• Customer-focused design with empathy for users.
• 8+ years of experience in a relevant design role.

Responsibilities

• Design & ship core features and maintain infrastructure across the product.
• Collaborate with team members, give and receive feedback, and learn from experts.
• Take ownership in a high-trust, ownership-focused environment and drive initiatives forward.
• Interview users, analyze feedback, and help prioritize the roadmap based on insights.
• Design and prototype novel interfaces, exploring lightweight prototypes to test new interactions.
