Job summary

Forge is seeking an AI-forward Product Designer to own end-to-end UI design and collaborate with product and engineering across mobile, tablet, and desktop experiences.

You will leverage AI tools to generate variations, contribute to a design system, and craft precise specs for engineering handoff while engaging in Agile ceremonies.

This role emphasizes ownership, multilingual support, and delivering high-quality, accessible interfaces in a flexible, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in UI/UX / product design role.
• Expert-level Figma skills (auto layout, components, prototyping).
• Experience designing accessible interfaces with accessibility standards.
• Experience contributing to/building a design system (components, docs).
• Portfolio with shipped responsive web products, ideally in eCommerce/B2B.
• Demonstrated use of AI in design process with examples.
• Experience writing design specifications and collaborating with engineers.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, source control, and web basics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UI design in Figma: user flows, high-fidelity screens, and interactive prototypes tied to product and customer needs
• Design responsive experiences across mobile, tablet, and desktop
• Use AI tools (e.g., Figma AI, Claude) to explore faster, generate variations, and prototype more, then refine with craft and judgment
• Learn our business, our customers, and their buying workflows, and apply that understanding to design decisions
• Gather feedback from end users and focus groups, and turn it into design improvements
• Contribute to and help evolve our design system, including components and usage guidelines, so design and code stay consistent
• Write clear design requirements and specifications, including interaction behavior, states, and edge cases, for engineering handoff
• Partner with product and engineering from concept through launch
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate design decisions clearly to audiences at every level

Skills and Abilities

• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail
• Hands-on fluency with AI design and prototyping tools, and a point of view on where they help and where they don’t
• Ability to quickly learn a complex business and its users

Education and Experience

• 5+ years as a UI/UX designer, product designer, or similar role
• Expert-level Figma skills (auto layout, components, prototyping)
• Experience designing accessible interfaces, with working knowledge of accessibility standards
• Experience contributing to or building a design system (component libraries, documentation)
• A portfolio showing shipped responsive web products, ideally in eCommerce or B2B
• Demonstrated use of AI in your design process, with examples in your portfolio or in conversation
• Experience writing design specifications and working directly with engineers
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, source control, and web development basics is a plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $115,000 to $130,000

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
