Role Overview

Product Designer – Database Observability (remote, United States and Canada, EST time zone).

Responsibilities

• Design and iterate on the Database Observability (DBO11y) product, enabling developers and database administrators to surface, troubleshoot, and optimize latency problems and slow queries.
• Collect and analyze customer/user feedback, conduct user interviews, observe behavior with product analytics tools, and identify opportunities for improvement throughout the product lifecycle (Private Preview → GA).
• Collaborate with product management, technical writing, engineering, and other designers to evolve features, refine troubleshooting workflows, and tightly integrate DBO11y into the broader Grafana Cloud suite.
• Develop new patterns and components while maintaining visual and stylistic consistency across the Grafana ecosystem.
• Facilitate design critiques and contribute to the evolution of team processes, learning, and culture.

Benefits & Compensation

Base salary for U.S. applicants: $123,933 – $154,915 (varies by level, experience, and skill set). All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Global PTO: 30 days per year, with 3 days reserved for Grafana Shutdown Days.
