Job summary

Reonic is seeking a Product/UX designer to shape the AI-powered OS for renewable installers. You will design end-to-end user experiences with a product lens, from discovery through execution, collaborating closely with product and engineering.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of startup UX design experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to balance user needs with business impact. German language proficiency is required for this on-site Berlin role.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking from discovery to execution.
• 2-3 years of experience as a product/UX designer in a startup or product-driven environment.

• Solid understanding of digital funnels, onboarding and conversion journeys; data-driven and qualitative insights.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to speed up concepting and prototyping.
• Clear communicator translating requirements for developers and product, with user empathy.
• Fluency in English and German (bonus: Italian, French, or Portuguese).

Please note that for this role, C1 German proficiency is required. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Berlin.

What You Will Do

• Design the AI-Powered OS: Shape the interface and experience of the AI-powered operating system installers worldwide will run their business on.

• Design with a Product Lens: Go beyond the brief to understand why it matters, balancing user needs and business impact with craft and polish.

• Set the UX/UI Bar: Maintain a high bar for UX/UI design that's intuitive, accessible, and genuinely delightful across every surface of the product.

• Redesign and Reinvent: Improve existing flows and interfaces, and design new ones from scratch, prototyping and iterating quickly to maximize value.

• Challenge and Collaborate: Push back on ideas that don't meet that bar, and work closely with product and engineering to raise UX quality across the board.
  

What Makes You a Great Fit

• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking - from discovery to execution - with high-quality craft and problem-solving.

• 2-3 years of experience as a product/UX designer, ideally in a startup or product-driven environment.

• Strong product sense and comfort in ambiguity: you make trade-offs that balance user and business impact, focus on outcomes over output, and iterate quickly and autonomously in a startup environment.

• Growth & UX understanding: solid grasp of digital funnels, onboarding and conversion journeys; strong with both quantitative data (A/B tests, funnel metrics) and qualitative data (user research, feedback); track record of using that to grow feature adoption, activation, and retention.

• Ability to leverage AI tools to speed up concepting and prototyping.

• Clear communicator: you translate requirements for developers and product, backed by real empathy for the user and a keen eye for design.

• very good communication abilities in English and German (Bonus: You also speak Italian, French, and/or Portuguese)
