Underdog is seeking a Design System Product Designer to create, maintain, and scale the foundational UI building blocks that power the customer experience. This role defines the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the design system while partnering with engineering to ensure adoption and implementation quality.

You will own the design system, develop workflows with Figma libraries, documentation, and quality checks, and help shape design documentation and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in product design.
• Deep expertise in Figma, including component libraries, tokens, variants, and systematic file organization.
• A commitment to learning as AI changes UI/UX design.
• Proclivity for adopting AI tools in design workflow.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities and high expectations for craft.
• Portfolio showing scalable design patterns and cohesive experiences.

• Constantly raising the bar for design craft and execution across the organization

What the Candidate Brings

Required experience and skills:

• 4+ years of experience in product design
• Deep expertise in Figma, including component libraries, tokens, variants, and systematic file organization
• A commitment to constantly learning and adapting to the rapid changes AI brings to user interface and user experience design
• A proclivity for adopting and intelligently experimenting with AI tools in the design workflow
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate system rationale and implementation guidance
• Experience operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and high expectations for craft
• A portfolio that demonstrates how the candidate has shaped scalable design patterns, systematized complex UI challenges, and delivered cohesive experiences
