About the Role

As a member of the Product Design team, you’ll help users make decisions faster. The team owns designing, building, and evolving user experiences across every surface of Aaru, designing experiences for personas across the technical spectrum and synthesizing research into features used daily by executives and developers alike.

Responsibilities

• Identify patterns across user needs and product to 10x our simulation software’s impact
• Ship fast while advancing the platform design system
• Force‑multiply engineering with high‑quality prototypes using agentic workflows
• Experiment and advance AI‑native design workflows
• Help us hire designers who raise the bar

Qualifications

• Released your own products or have led product design previously
• Thrives in ambiguous and novel technical domains
• Values feedback over conformity
• Can defend design choices and articulate rationale
• Uses AI tools heavily but maintains personal design taste
• Ships fast and knows when to slow down for polish
• Communicates clearly in writing and in person
• Has courage to push back and humility to change mind
• Have built a design system for a platform or developer product
• Have shipped 0→1 product surfaces, not just iterations on existing ones
• Have contributed to open source or production codebases

Location

This role is based in New York City. Aaru is an in‑person company working five days a week in office. Candidates are expected to be located within the New York City metropolitan area or open to relocation.
