Job summary

Strattec is seeking an experienced Product Designer to lead automotive Key Fob/Digital Key Fob product design using Creo CAD. You will create 3D models, assemblies and drawings while collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility from concept through production.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automotive design, GD&T knowledge, and PLM/PDM experience, delivering high-quality, scalable digital key solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or related field.
• 5+ years of automotive product design experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in PTC Creo CAD (Mandatory).
• Experience creating complex parts, assemblies and drawings.
• Strong GD&T, tolerance stack-up and manufacturing process knowledge.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive Key Fob/Digital Key Fob products using PTC Creo.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
• Support product development from concept through prototype, validation and production release.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and supplier teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Perform design reviews and incorporate engineering changes as needed.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications, quality standards and manufacturing requirements.
• Support DFM/DFA activities and resolve design-related manufacturing issues.
• Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs and revision control.

Position Overview

Strattec is seeking an experienced Product Designer with strong expertise in CREO CAD and automotive Key Fob/Digital Key Fob product design. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience designing and developing automotive access systems, working closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver high‑quality products from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive Key Fob/Digital Key Fob products using PTC Creo.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
• Support product development from concept through prototype, validation, and production release.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure design feasibility.
